Sometimes waiting too long to report a leak can result in extensive repair work, including replacing wall board, paint and other unanticipated repair necessities.

Free "Hail Maps"  that detail the size and duration of hail that has pelleted your neighborhood are being made available to homeowners in Dallas County.

All it takes is a phone call to Howard at     214 681-6396. You may also request a complimentary roof inspection from a professional who understands the important of protecting your home and will negotiate with your insurance company to replace your roof rather than provide a so-so repair job.

What Happened Here?

As you can see, the house on the left is a relatively new building.  It had sustained some visible damage that breached the membrane of the roof prior to a 24 hour rain storm.  Water began to seeping between the sheet rock walls and wicked through the insulation while spreading throughout the entire house.  All of the walls, carpeting, drapes, cabinets and contents of the home were destroyed and needed to be replaced.

Homeowners are bound to mitigate losses such as roofing issues in a timely manner as soon as they are noticed.  In this case the damage had not been reported at the onset. Meanwhile the damage continued to  increase over the following months.  As a result, the interior of the home required the removal of floor coverings, ceilings and wall boards, gutting the structure down to the studs.  The homeowner's insurance covered the roof but did not cover the restoration of  the interior of the home or its contents.
